“Come to the Mountain for His Word”

January, 2019

From the desk of Bro. Bill Scroggs

Happy New Year!

The last week of the year is a time of reflection and planning. Looking back on where we were last year and looking forward to what we want to do in 2019.

This year we finalized ownership of the northern 5.5 acres, continued landscaping the southern 2 acres, worked with a Campers on Missions group to help landscape the properties, added a flag pole to fly the American and Christian flags, held a block party without anyone having a heatstroke, and several other opportunities.

We are enjoying nice crowds with several options for special music and even ‘extra’ special music accompaniment on some Sunday nights. We are blessed with many talented individuals sharing talents with which they have been blessed and  sometimes visitors even join our choir or share a solo.

Our mission goal for all three primary mission efforts has been exceeded this year and we look forward to what God lets us do in 2019.

We are blessed to be able to begin the New Year with a Baptismal service and look forward to what God is going to do with us this year as we serve Him here on Petit Jean Mountain and wherever he allows us and our ministries to touch others.

Happy New Year!

Petit Jean FBC Family,

First of all thank you for allowing us to take some time off to end the year and enjoy some time with our family, Thank you for the generous offering to our family for Christmas. This will help us to do a couple of things with the whole bunch we couldn’t have done otherwise. We miss y’all and look forward to seeing you in 2019.

Bro Bill and Reta

It is with pleasure that we welcome a new member to our church  family.  Aurora Lawrence came on profession of faith and asking for church membership and baptism.  A special baptismal service will be held on January 6, 2019.  Aurora is the daughter of Samantha Lawrence and the granddaughter of Annie Rozivka.  May the Lord bless this child and her family.

Happy New Year to each of you.  May the Lord bless you with good health and happiness in 2019!
